All 4th grade students are challenged to pledge to put in full effort to master all the K-4 math requirements by the end of 4th grade and to agree to wear a wear a highly visible symbol of their commitment every day – e.g. a brightly colored wristband. 4th grade students already doing well in math are additionally challenged to pledge to help classmates that are not as far along.
